The Crab Picker is a friendly, relaxed, fully licenced restaurant catering for all ages and tastes. You find us next to the bakery in The Square in Portreath, a few metres from the harbour and a short walk from the beach. You can find a map on our contact page. Portreath is a delightful coastal village, with a sandy cove with safe swimming and surfing and a harbour.We are open from Tuesday to Sunday. For opening hours, please see our contact page.
We have a wide-ranging standard menu with daily specials on the chalk board and are open for morning coffee, lunch and evening meals.
On Thursdays we offer a 'pensioners' lunch' - a choice of main course, a choice of dessert and tea or coffee for just £5.50! Served between 12 and 2.
For one day only ...... try our Valentine's menu on Saturday 13th. February. Only £16.50 for three courses and coffee and truffles.

We are proud to specialise in seafood and fish, with the emphasis on local sourcing and freshness, but also recommend our meat dishes (steak, venison .....). A vegetarian and a children's menu are also available.
Customers are also welcome just to pop in for a cup or tea or coffee.

We also run the Basset Arms in Tregea Terrace, just at the foot of Tregea Hill and moments from the sea. The Basset is open at normal pub opening times and serves - like the Crab Picker - delicious, traditional food.
